TORONTO, June 3 (Xinhua) -- The Golden State Warriors overcame the Toronto Raptors 109-104 on Sunday night to tie the 2019 NBA Finals at 1-1.

In a nail-biting contest, Klay Thompson scored 25 points before leaving play with a hamstring injury, and Stephen Curry added 23 as the Warriors capitalized on a 18-0 run in the opening period of the second half.

Andre Iguodala, who had missed all 11 three-pointer attempts in the previous four games, made the decisive three-pointer with 5.9 seconds left, after the Raptors had scored 10 straight points to cut the deficit to 106-104.

Cousins had the chance to start and delivered 11 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, while Draymond Green had 17 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Kawhi Leonard had 34 points and 14 rebounds for the Raptors.

Defending NBA champions Golden State will now be sweating on the fitness of several key players before they return to their Oracle Arena for game 3 and 4 of this year's Finals.

With Kevin Durant already sidelined, Thompson landed awkwardly after a 3-point attempt early in the fourth quarter on Sunday and limped off soon afterwards, while backup center Kevon Looney also left the court injured earlier in the game.
