MINSK, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- The team of the President of Belarus won the 16th edition of the Christmas international amateur ice hockey tournament on Tuesday, beating the Russian team 4-1 (1-0, 1-1, 2-0) in the final.

Belarus has won the tournament 13 times.

The team of the President of Belarus consists of former and current hockey players of the national team of Belarus. The current president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and his son Nikolai played for the team.

The Russian squad played for the 14th time in the final of the Christmas tournament and lost the title to the team of the President of Belarus for the 11th time.

The UAE team took the bronze, defeating Finland 3-2 (0-1, 2-0, 1-1).
